At first “unbelievable” was the only comment given by the new International Master Fitter Emiel Baans, owner of Novus Glass in NL – Tilburg and member of the AutoGlassProfs team in The Netherlands. Emiel got the gold medal and a special designed world cup from Hiroshima Ebina, the vice-chairman of International Automotive Glass Federation after the 2 days event during glasstec at Messe Düsseldorf.Later on after he had come to his senses Emiel explained his big surprise. “One of my fellow competitors Jeff Olive took part in these competitions for the third time. In the past he was winner of both the gold and the silver medal. When I learned about Jeff’s bronze medal of this year, I did not have any hope for a medal anymore. Therefore the triumph for me, Novus Glass and AutoGlassProfs is even bigger”, he stated.
The silver medal decorated another AutoGlassProfs team member: Antonio Grieco of Doctorglass Group in Italy.
